Miracle!

Dr. Brahma came to do rounds this morning at 9 a.m. and cut off the turban bandage. She got to feel her smooth head for the first time! It is beautiful! The incision looks great, lots and lots of staples, but all is well and they're going to wash her hair today. He also told us that she could go home!! Even though her eyes were not open, he said she's doing so well and eating and drinking so she could go. We were so happy.

We knelt to pray and thank God for all the wonderful things he done, giving us the great surgeon, the really outstanding hospital, the surgery, bringing her to our family and letting us go home today. The moment we said Amen, I looked up and so did she...her eyes opened :-)

GOD IS GOOD!!

The surgeon just left. He's pleased with the results. They did not have to remove any part of her skull, they were just able to shave down the bumps. They saw the fracture and said that at one time it had gone through the dura, but her own scar tissue had closed up the gap and there was no need for them to repair. So they were able to stay on the outside layer of the skull. We are so pleased. That is what we were hoping for. We can never thank you all enough for all of your unceasing prayers and we can never thank God enough for this big miracles and all of the little ones leading up to this! God IS good.

We're HOME!

We're home and it feels so good. The hospital was excellent, we could never say enough good things about the hospital staff, and our doctor, they were all excellent! Molly is in great spirits and has been up playing for several hours! She had a nice nap after the car ride home, but has been very energetic since she got home. She's very happy, still swollen, but happy. It's great to be back home together as a family and we're more than ready to get into a normal routine. We're still basking in the amazing grace that we've witnessed first hand through the miracles that God has performed. Thanks once more for all for all of the prayers! GOD IS GOOD!

A little about Molly...

Since our blog is brand new, I thought I'd give a brief update of the Molly story. We first began discussing adoption seriously in May of 2008. There was a lot to think about, foster parenting, domestic adoption, international. We became passionate with China after reading the story of the Steven Curtis Chapman family. They were definitely an inspiration to us. I was so excited I started immediately gathering information for China and found an agency and got as many papers together as I could. Then M came to me and said that he really felt we should switch agencies to America World Adoption. At first all I could think of was all the additional paperwork, but I quickly realized that his feelings were strong and most likely correct. We left our old agency on October 15, 2008 and started up with AWA on October 18th. By April, we had all our paperwork over to China (DTC) and had received notice that we were logged in (LID).
